if youre that worried about wearing out your tire (open diff= one tire fire) than dont do a burnout. tires are too damn expensive to be wasting on burnouts. i learned that lesson years ago when i was your age when i burned the tires off my dads classic 442 cutlass he let me drive my last day of highschool. lol that cost me alot of money. i guess it was good that my first vehicle was an 86 2.9 L V6 ranger that would barely break the tires loose in the dirt! ha ha

I can spin my 33's when i turn sharp(one tire marks but they both spin). But do what i do, either wait for some rain, hit up a dirt road and go drifting, or stop in puddles. The water takes away enough friction and you dont really burn, or tear off tread, just spin. Or put soap or bleach on your tires and park in a puddle. That takes away pretty much all the friction.

I saw that dodge vid a few years ago and that guy is stupid..haha

Actually I ride my bike a lot of places! I want to be a personal trainer and very into fitness.

All I am asking is how much tread you think it would burn? I am not a idiot that is going to redline it. I'm not going to go crazy on my truck by you answering that. And yall have all probably at least tried a burnout, still break speed limits, etc.
(I actually drive limit so I don't get pulled)

Thanks
just because you justify stoopid, doesnt mean its any less stoopid.

Any burnout will dissipate your tread. Don't be fooled in to thinking it won't. That's just wishful thinking, and not very smart. 10 seconds of burnout, will probably eat 2k miles off your tire.

I had to pay for my first vehicle, and all vehicles after that. It's a whole lot different when you have to pay for EVERYTHING. Have I done a few burn outs? Yes, but it was stupid, and I don't recommend doing it. It's a truck, not a hotrod. Not to mention, if you get caught doing it, the cops can pull your license..... You don't want that do you? Reckless driving is a huge hit on the driving record, and VERY costly in court, as well as your insurance rates.

Just my thoughts...

X2. I have paid for all my vehicles, parts, gas and insurance since I was 16. I have done a burnout before, but it was to impress a girl. It was a dumb thing to do, and it usually doesn't impress anyone.
