How does one go about removing the plastic bumper pad right above the chrome bumper? Id like to take it off and repaint it after its been scratched one too many times

 

I have the '97/'98 bumper with the built-in fog lights - off an Expedition. On this specific one, there are tabs on the front lip that can easily be pried forward and up. Mine has a couple of these tabs broken, so you can see on the top front of the bumper, the slots these go into.

 

ah. mines a 99. ill take a look at it tomorrow.
