Will a stock bumper and grill from 99-03 fit on a 97-98? I like the newer style a bit better. Just curious

 

i think 97-03 are the same thing so it should fit

 

bumpers i know are different, so the grille on mine is smaller, just wanting to know if the brackets line up and everything

No it will not. Things that are different:

1. Mounts on frame; though they bolt on, YES the bolt locations are different. So those must be changed
2. Valences are different
3. Top pads are different
4. Grille on 96.5-98 is flat on the bottom while the 99-03 and 04 Heritage have a bulge on the bottom of the grille insert that dives down into the top pad area of the bumper.

The rest of the front end is pretty close.. I'm not 100% sure but I think I saw something on the plastic piece behind the headlights and corners being different.. again, not sure.

 

^^^ but it will fit....some minor fabrication will be needed but it will work.
