I always think about what is practical and I use often. Lights, towing, recreational use, apperance, comfort, etc.

So lift and tires first, then programmer, makes sense, the other way around would result in tuning to specifications that ARE not compliant. Good i can get the expensive stuff out of the way first, and a truck that is lifted and tuned up will be like a completely different truck.
I am starting to get a direction now this is good. Im thinking after that i might move on to some mods in the looky looky category, unless there is something else in the performance category that is a must prior to that.

also fabbing something that you put on your truck gives a very good sense of pride. for instance i built my own headache rack

I agree with tackle, plan out your build so you know what you are doing. You don't want to just waste money on mods you don't really want. I have overspent because I didnt buy what I want in the first place. It will save you money in the long run.
