Default Broken Heater Controls?

Has anyone had experiance with the heat controls not working properly? I have an 03 Lariat with the digital Display. When I put the heat on Floor it blows hard out the defroster. The panel works right but even on floor/def I only get defrost. Ideas??!?! Thanks!

There have been similiar posts here about the tiny vacuum line breaking at the engine side of the firewall. Its a small black line located forward of the glove box area. The systems defaults to defroster with no vacuum applied.

No, not at all. Hardest part of the job is to locate the line that is broken. Led to believe its burried under or behind obstructions. Once located, pull a little slack back into the engine compartment, insert both ends into a 1-2 inch piece of rubber vacuum line (of proper size) and good to go.

Perhaps its asking for a lot.....does anyone have photo(s) of where the vacuum lines are located?
