Default Brakes

I have a 1997 f-150 and need to replace the front rotors. Should I go with local auto parts store (Autozone,Oriellys, advantage) or is there a better place? What brand is a good choice? Just a daily driver, no towing. Also may need drums too.

(Channeling my certified mechanic stuff here)

Don't use the cheapest crap you can buy, it doesn't last, warps real easy and will give you one hell of a shakey brake pedal in short order.

Raybestos is good but SD pads suck. Professional Grade and higher is what I'd do in that line, a few Japanese suppliers like Akebono have jumped into the American stuff and make superior brake parts as I will only use their stuff in my truck to great results.

I agree with the previous post. But I put on rotors from autozone & they have been fine for 30K so far.
