Default Brake problem

When I'm driving and push the brake it will go to the floor, then I can pump it once or twice and get it to firm up allittle, but then I let off it then push it again and once again it will go to the floor. Any ideas on what could be bad or needs replacing? Thanks

How many miles since last brake fluid flush? These are symptoms of air in brake lines.

Could be an internal leak in the master cylinder, a leaking wheel cylinder if you have drum brakes, check the fluid level in the master cylinder...if it's full, suspect a leak in the bore for it. It happens.

Look behind all 4 wheels and see if any of the brakes are leaking from hoses, fittings, etc. Open the hood and check the master cylinder to make sure it is full of fluid. If no leaks and its full, then either air in the lines (why if nothing is leaking) or a bad master cylinder. I'd check there. Good luck.
