Looking at getting an 03 fx4 f150 supercab with 96,*** miles.. Anything I should look out for? Any cool mods to do? Plan on getting exhaust tires right off the bat but looking for other good ideas.. Who sells leveling kits for these trucks? Any tips would be appreciated

 

Cut the muffler out, it isn't loud enough with any muffler on there, plus you'll save some money \m/

 

Just about every major suspension company on the market has suspension for these trucks. A very simple mod would be the Gotts. Other mods, really depend on your style. Front end replacements are expensive investments, but your glad you have one when you hit a deer, hog, owl (don't ask), car, tree...you know, just about anything that can set the airbags off. Driving lights are nice to have at night if you go up S*** Creek on your way to BFE often. LED's are always a great mod in the tail light section as are traction aids in the rear differential. If you have welding skills, take some time to reinforce the front mounts. If your rear bumper mounts are bent, grind off the old rivets and remove the mounts and replace them with 3" x 5" x 1/4" angle iron as a much stronger $30 alternative to replacing them with the $350 mounts from Ford or LMC.

All about getting creative and figuring out what the look you want the truck to have really is as well as how it drives.
