Hi fellow F150 enthusiasts, my 1999 4.2 v6 has an alternator with a Bosch sticker on it. I bought the truck used and expect that this must be a replacement alternator. Has anyone ever heard of an alternator bearing a Bosch (or any other aftermarket brand name) sticker coming directly out of the Ford factory? Thanks.

 

It's been replaced.

 

^^^ Agreed. The factory alternator has Motorcraft cast into the housing.

 

I replaced my alternator with a Bosch. It must be about 7 yrs old and still working.
