Default Boost of Security

One day, when I pressed on the brake to shift into drive, the shifter would not move out of park. Just like it would if I didnt press the brake pedal. I found a blown fuse, replaced, and fixed the problem. Tell me what you think of this idea. There are 5 wires on the brake harness. I believe the white center wire is the one that sends a signal confirming the brake is pressed allowing you to shift. If I were to put a toggle switch on that wire, I could switch it off, and then no one can put the truck in gear unless that switch is on. I was thinking about do this as a boost of security.

You live in a bad area or what? You could also glue razor blades under the door handle.

What ever you want to do though. Not the first time I've heard of or seen something like that implemented.

I'd much rather see highly electrified metal strips under the door handle. That way you get the shock value, and be sure to put a hidden camera on there so you can catch the faces mid zap. ;-))
