Default Bogging down problems

Hi. Thank you in advance for your help.

I have a 1997 F-150 2WD Lariat 3rd door 4.6L V-8. Its been bogging down, heavily at times.

Symptoms- Starts fine. Idles perfectly when cold. Once warm, it has a little hiccup regularly when idling. During normal acceleration, it bogs like its missing, heavier when going up an incline. During the bogging, it has intermittent moments when it clears up and lunges forward for a millisecond but continues to bog. At highway speeds, it stays at speed, but feels like its running roughly. At times when going up a steep incline at lower speeds, it bogs so bad it feels like I won't make it up.

New plug wires and plugs a year ago, and new intake manifold gasket 3 months ago (before that it had been down to 5 or 6 cyl, with the fouled plugs. This time the symptoms feel completely different).

If you need more info, just ask! And thank you...

Curt

Do you have any codes when scanned? Not sure if this is any help but on my cousins old car he had a clogged cat and it would barely make it up a hill, power loss, ran like ****, real sluggish, your symptoms kinda seem similar, wouldn't hurt to probably check your cats
