Bobbed Rear and Flatbed
Well I guess its about time to cut off the rusty bed and go flat, also throwing around the idea of bobbing the rear of the truck, I need more departure angle but i don't want to lift the truck. I'm sick of dragging *** in these dry washes !
Not quite ready to pull the trigger on the project yet, It would be nice to get some opinions or ideas to kick around.
I am "new" to this forum but at the same time I am not - I have used this forum for reference for years and its been great, just finally registered.
- Thanks - Bill

How's about a level bed with some Diamond Plate sides? Would help the departure angle and retain some of the "haulibity". Plus I think they look cooler than just a plain flat bed...

I agree - the open sides of just a plain flatbed would bother me, its ugly and wasted space. one idea I had was storage/tool boxes under the decking on the sides to use the space. I was thinking about a wood plank insert framed with angle and square, even a full headache rack would be nice ! my truck is a SCLB so i have plenty of room between the cab and rear wheels
