Default Blown alternator

2003 f150 supercab. When this happened would it blow the battery as well? It is maybe 6 months old. It's in the shop. If it will take out the battery, what else, if anything. Oh for my 87- wish I'd kept it.

Usually when an alternator goes bad, it just quits charging the battery. Doesn't kill the battery, Just drained from not getting a charge.

Yes sometimes an alternator can murder your battery.
You can take your battery to Advance or AutoZone (or where you got it if they do this service) and they will hook it up and test the battery for free on or not on the truck.
Even if the battery is ruined, I doubt anything else is damaged like the computer etc.
Remember, the alternator feeds high amp power directly into the battery, other components are protected by low amp fuses.
