oh & a rear end but that was all on me that time.. you must have just got an abused one.. my 10th gen f150 has been the best f150 ive owned yet.. i miss all of them because of the memories & because of my know-how i learned from them but my 2000 is NEVER leaving my ownership or my family, my fiancie & future wife was met & courted in it & so will my future son/daughter will.. plus my grandkids. If they wont promise me that on my death bed then i'll be buried in it..
if all your saying went wrong on your truck was an intake, i don't believe you. Your telling me you've never had an exhaust leak, either the ecm module or abs module go out, a rear differential leak or plugs go out? Not to mention a lot of other general maintenance for a 12yr old truck

no exhaust leak, no modules have went out, i said i replaced my whole rear diff because i messed the original one up, & the fact that my truck made it to that kinda mileage should tell you the general maintenance was done, but guess what the "general maintenance" parts are called consumable parts for a reason, they are ment to be replaced so you cant count that against the truck.
edit: i forgot i had 1 cop go out after i went bogging at the river..soooorrrry
