I just purchased a 02 king ranch with 58k. It just hit 60k and the OD light on the shift **** blinksabout ten times every so often. I read in the manual that if this happens you need to get into the shop right away for service. Is this a sign that my tranny is going out or just needs the 60k service done. I would say by the condition of the truck that it wasnt mistreated.

 

Most likely 60k service is needed as a constant reminder. Since all indications point out that the truck is in good condition. I'm not saying not to check the tranny though. We can never be too sure.
