How did you achieve torque without threads?

heli coil time can be repaired with thread insert if you don't have the tool or knowledge job best performed by shop.
Ford tough some engines cant keep plugs in others can't get them out.

May I suggest a Time-Sert? They are a lot better than Heli-Coil on this application.

Heli-Coil on top, Time-Sert on bottom:

Yea, not heli coil, they last about 2 years max...when done properly.

Timesert , Denlore, Ford L&S. There's a few new comers that sell good kits as well. But yea, not heli-coil for these engines. They never last.

I've used heli-coil elsewhere and they worked.....my weed-eater is still going strong.
