Default Blenddoor Acuator

I have a 2003 f-150. The cold or hot air blows only in defrost or floor mode. I've been told it's the blenddoor acuator and I've also been told it's the mode acuator....so with one is it..my guess would be mode acuator and if so were exactly is it located....Thanks

Look up the part on Rock or another site so you know what you're looking for. It attaches on the outside of the plenum, generally on the driver side and visible. The plastic gears inside go bad. Easy fix but may be a one-hand job.

Right above the transmission hump floor, under the dash. MUCH easier job if you don't have a center console.

It sits on the bottom. The screws are 6 or 7 mm.... can't recall for sure. I looked around for a pic in my pics, and I don't see one.

The little nub goes into a hole in the bottom of the box (straight up).
