Default Blend Door????

Hey Guys......My old 97 has A/C trouble.....my blend door is broke, so no A/C..just warm air in Georgia and its 97 degree's........freon is full....everything is up to par.......I've made the heater treater cuts....sure enought blend door is broken............I just need A/C for my old truck .......can I just adjust my old blend door motor to the cold side for now and adjust back in winter to heat.........?????????????????

I guess you could try that with some duct tape or the metal style duct tape to hold it in place. If that works let me know cause im in the same boat as you my friend, mine just decides to stay on ac for a few hrs till i have to take off real fast then its back to windows down. Im in Ga too! what part are you from?

It worked.......just finished.....removed blend door motor......adjusted motor to cold side.......closed blend door to heater core side.......now cold a/c.......cheap fix................heater treater man needs an award for this fix trick

where is the blend door at? under the dash or under the hood?

In the dash...basically right behind the radio......go to the heater treater web page and follow all the steps

I'm prob gonna have to do this till u can buy the replacement. What did you use to hold it with cold blowing?
