Default better towing performance

I pull a 25 foot travel trailer and have a 2003 f150 true dual high flow cats with magnapack mufflers ( no X or H pipe) ...a little loud for towing...but since I put on the exhaust I lost a lot of bottom end. At one point I was running a dynomax dual in dual out muffler and my low end torque was back. But I hated the sound.

Its time for some upgrades so I ask all of you for input.

I m thinking of going back to a single pipe exhaust set up...would it be a good idea to up the pipe size to 3 inch from the y pipe back, and I was considering a flowmaster super 40 muffler, or maybe the delta 40. Super 40 because its a slightly bigger case. My truck is mainly used for towing and recreation. Also JOHNNY LAW is cracking down on lound exhausts in our town.

any ideas
