Default Best way to wire interior LEDs?

I just ordered some LED strips for my interior and i'm wondering what the best way to wire them up is? I kind of want to wire them into the door lights, like have them come on when I open up the door? Anyone know how to do that on an 98? Or what another good way to do it would be? Thanks!

Relay with the turn on lead being the dome light positive lead.

If yours is the same wiring as a 2000 which I would think it would be you can get the switched 12v power from the passenger side kick panel that controls the dome, then just ground them somewhere. Black wire with blue stripe, numerous threads about this.

I say wire it up to the fuse box into the headlight port. So every time you turn your headlights on they turn on. Or an easier way is get a portable fuse box from pep boys or any car store that plugs into your cigarette lighter

That'd look trashy having that stuff hanging. It's best to tap into the dome light if you want them on with the doors open, or the marker light if you want them on whenever dark. I put mine on a switch off a hot wire so I can turn them on whenever I want.

Ok, what about using an Add-A-Fuse? What might the best fuse port to add it to? Or better yet, what fuse port controls the dome light and door lights?

Just splice a wire into #4 and ground them. It's that simple

But you'd have a plug sticking out of your lighter and lose use of it.
