if your not going to go into some deep mud. like if its mostly dirt or sand that terra grappler is a prity nice at and has a prity wide tread patern. or if you are going to go into deep mud realy look into the dura track i have a freind who has them on his f250 and he says they are great, realy good in the mud and deep snow, great at getting traction.

I am running Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs, 285/75/16, and they are awesome. I have only had them for a month or so but they are great on the road. I have used them also in the snow and rain and they were awesome. I have tried some light mudding with them and I was very impressed. They are great for a daily driver and anyone who wants to go off road. They are also pretty quiet on the highway.

Firestone Destination ATs are a great tire. I've gone through mild mud holes with a trailer in 2 wheel drive and never had a problem going tough. I just had them in a few inches of snow the other day and they worked great too. The only bad part is they ride like a truck tire but I lowered the pressure from 65 to 50 and they are much smoother now. Nitto terra grapplers are a good tire as well, I don't have any experence with them but I've heard good things. I'm getting Nitto trail grapplers in april and they are more agressive but they are a decent on the street even though there more of a mud tire.

I love the Duratracs. I put them on my dad's 5.9 Cummins about 7 months ago. He loves them. They get a little noisy around 75 mph...but the turbo covers it up pretty well. My next set of tires (that I purchase) will be Duratracs.
Before the Duratracs, that Dodge had Firestone Destination ATs...thought they sucked. Didn't perform well in snow, mud and weren't any better than the Michelins that the truck came from the factory with off pavement (his is a 2WD Megacab). Got about 52,000 miles out of them though. Even though I was 4 back when all of the Firestone tire accidents occurred (and lived 20 miles away from one of the major ones) I to this day do not trust Firestone anything on a Ford truck.
My favorite tire so far, Hankook Dynapro ATM. Great on asphalt and dirt. Good in mud, sand and snow (remember I'm only running 2WD with a locker) but I wouldn't use them as a strict mud tire. Love them because I paid $700 for them (that was 2.5 years ago when they were $164/tire...now the same tire is something like $214/tire). Mine have 46,000 miles on them and still have 45% of the tread left.

hurcles trail diggers are good mud terrains that do not wear fast because my dad has them on his super duty and he has 30,000 miles on them and they still look prety good
