Default Bent frame

I got into an accident in december and im trying to fix my truck up. my frame is bent near the front passenger wheel. A buddy of mine says the f150 is designed to bend instead of crack or break and it should be easy to fix.

Has anybody had any experience with straightening frame on a 98 f150 or similiar year? or know anything bout being designed to bend?

When metal bends, it gets weak. I would not trust a bent then rebent frame to save my life. Im sure it can be done. Just talk to any body shop and they may be able to point you in the right direction.

I've got the same issue on the same spot on my 99 f150. I took it in to a small body shop and they said their frame puller wasn't strong enough but could be done and referee me to a place that quoted me 500 to straighten it out. Still saving up to try it out b/c it's keeping me from opening my passenger door without out bending the front corner panel with the hinge of the door. Good luck.

Seen it done, Frame machines have been used for along time to fix bent frames, and core supports. Just have to find a reputable body shop to do it. The frames are designed to crush. There are crush sones for that purpose.
