Default Beefier sound

I'm pretty sure there is a thread out there on this already but having issues finding the right info.

I have a 2000 4.2 V6 extended cab. I was looking for a more beefier sound but don't have loads of money to spend. I was hoping for something around $100 and possibly installing myself.

I have some basic knowledge and could possibly self install with some guidance. Any tips? Thx.

What do you mean beefier? You already have an exhaust?

I want a deeper tone. I don't have the money to add in a full exhaust system so I was thinking about something from cats back of what not. Stock exhaust doesn't put out the sound that I'm looking for and I feel it's a bit too restrictive.

Well it's a V6 and a V6 will always sound like a V6. You could put in a new muffler, but it will still have that V6 sound. I'm not to sure if you will get that deep rumbling sound you are looking for.

Check some sound clips out on youtube. i had a buddy with a dodge v6 and he had a flowmaster not sure which model but it sounded hideous like a little 4 wheeler or something.
