Default bed liner tie down hooks

Anyone else think the design on the bed liner tie down hooks are horrible? Small torx screws? Really? I felt very uneasy about having my dirt bike strapped down seeing the metal bracket piece move all around.

So today I sprayed a ton of pb blaster on the end of the screws where they rust behind the fenders. Then I try gently turning one of the T30 torx screws and it's broken, sweet. Chevy has 1 up on the fords by having the welded in loops. Now I gotta try and get that old bolt out and replace it with stainless. All of the others are probably in the same condition rusted frozen when they aren't even tight in there. Sucks.

One snapped off flush and the bad part about it is the side in the fender is flush too... Weird because it broke on the first twist trying to loosen it. I'll have to drill it out?

And here is the other that broke, this one was a mess. I'm not even sure how it broke the way it did, but I was able to get it out through the fender.

If anyone is curious about replacement bolts it's a metric 6 1.0 x 30mm from home depot, I just swapped them with hex heads. MUCH BETTER.
