98 f150 xlt supercab 4x4 with a 4.6ltr.my battery light comes on when i gun it hard/ passing gear. i just got a new belt this year and last year a alternator. truck has 128k miles. and i did notice sometimes the best squeels. at cold starts. can the belt be stretched or bad belt? also have mods 3" single exhaust all the way with a V-Force muff. hypertech programmer II, K&N air filter, (not oiled). help guys thanks.

or a glazed belt

or both a bad tensioner and bad belt. Get an OEM tensioner and a Goodyear Gatorback belt. Check the idler pulley for endplay while you are at it.

also so belt dressing would help out a tad

belt dressing should not be used on serpentine belts, the petrochemicals break down rubber...the Gatorback is called the "quiet belt" for a reason

If all those ^ there dont work... you might have an electrical problem.. maybe with the wire that runs to the alternator maybe giving out...
