has anybody swapped axles out front and rear? i have a 7700 with the heavier axles and 3.73s and there getting pretty warn. so im putting my axles in from my 2000. f150 with 3.55s that have very low miles on them. i no the back will be simple but im woundering about the front?

 

 

well the front can be a bit of a beach lol u gotta take you upper balljoint off and puch down on the steering knuckle well pulling the axle to the widest opening you can find then u have to puch really hard and get the inch of room you need to get the axle out once out just give a good tug and they should pop. for the knuckle part on one of my buddys truck i (208#) stood on the top of the knucle bracing myself on the hood and he just pulled the axle out of the knucles and reverse to put it back in but to change your front gears you have to pull the front shft and undo the bracketry holding it there
