Anyone have similar issue with 2003 F150?

That's the way to do it really. It maintains ignition integrity. You won't be screwing around with coils again for a good long time.

At 271 k, I've replaced 3 coils that actually needed it. And one that didn't just for grins
The problem is, with swapping them I lost track of which ones were replaced and which ones weren't...Part of that is when I had the new engine put in I have no idea what the shop did....
So... I just keep a spare on hand and if I need it I replace the cylinder this acting up. And this might happen once every couple of years.
Yeah replacing them all around 150-20000 mi , when first start acting up might have been smart...

I figured since I just replaced all the spark plugs 200 miles ago.... that I'd just say screw it and replace all 8 so I know I'm set for my ownership time with this truck. A few plugs had a lot of carbon buildup on them... so wasn't sure if that was what was causing the misfire... turns out it was the coil pack. Oh well, general maintenance never hurts.

Did you go with the denso's ? they are $22.79 for OE coils. I use rock auto for all our car parts You can usually get quality OE stuff for cheap compared to AZ.
