Like many Fords, the harnesses are usually the same, even if unused. Many here have the fog light harnesses, even though they don't have the lights, or even the switch assembly.
Remove the panel, and the weatherproofing sheet, and fish around (you'll see where all of the wiring for the speaker, mirror, window/lock go) and you may have the pre-wire for that light. I would have thought that that light would be a critical safety feature at night.
