2002 super cab fx4 that had a thrush glass pack added with a muffler delete that fell off should I end it in front of the axles or out the side before the tire it’s got 2.5 inch pipe was thinking maybe three inch with a single to dual performance muffler want a nice deep sound but not loud enough to get pulled in nys

Exhaust sound is a bad thing to ask advice on. Everyone has their own preference to sound. I suggest you get on youtube and listen to various mufflers. IMO, a glass pack is the V8's equivalent to a ricer fart pipe - but you enjoyed it.

As far as the exit of the exhaust, check your state regulations before making a judgement call there.

What engine?

my 2001 5.4 had a Classic Chambered exhaust 3030SB and sounded great.

in my humble opinion, the 2v engines are already pretty quiet with the cats installed. i would do (and have already done myself) whatever fits your budget. even the glass packs are tame on the 5.4.
