antfreeze leak top of engine!!
ok so today i found out that my truck is seeping antifreeze out of the engine arround my gasket. i need help to know what part this is so i can fix it! it is badly bubling out underneeth that rather large metal thing with the clamp on it it also has abolt on it and is beside the altenator. Help please !!! i am a diesel tech aprentice so i should be able to do this fix my self but all help is apreciated!!

what kind of motor and year is it. the only experience i have with coolant leak on top like that is when my intake manifold started leaking. 5.4l 2001 f150

I would say that is what the deal is. Intake manifold. I've seen it on 4.6 and 5.4. Make sure to get the revised manifold- aftermarket made some changes to try to prevent this reoccurring.

Nope Ive had the same problem with mine and the intake manifold cracks where the crossover tube meets and causes this. A lot of people have had this problem. I used some prestone stop leak in mine and it has stopped it. Otherwise you need to take the whole upper intake manifold off and replace it.

i did mine a few monhs ago. the hardest thing i ran into was disconnecting the fuel lines from the fuel rail, after spending about 30 min with that it was no problem doing the rest. i have no mechanical experience other than oil changes and basic stuff. took probably 7-8 hrs over the course of a week. little here and there.
