Default Another overheating issue.

Alrighty guys im hoping you can help me out here.
What ive got: 98 f150 standard cab long bed with a 4.6 romeo engine.

The problem: On my way back to school today, just cruising down the highway about 75mph (2100rpm) when I see a CEL and temp light. Engine goes into limp mode so I pull over. Turn truck off and check engine. Rad hoses are hard, resevoir has coolant (and theres a spray of it all over the drivers side of the engine bay like the fusebox and such). No visible leaks. Let it cool for 5 min and its below op temp. Get back on the road and about 3 miles down it gets in the red. Shut it off before limp mode. Let it cool again and limp it to gas station. There, I took out the termostat thinking it stuck. Hoses were soft before I left (engine running). Didnt help. So now im sitting here infront of an autozone 5 miles further down the road. On the way here the engine would fluctuate from op temp to the edge of red, almost dependent on if I was going downhill or not. It didnt seem it help keeping the engine at low rpm (~1500 via 45mph) to help a collapsing hose. Additionally when I pull the throttle cable and watch the hose it doesnt appear to collapse. These are the two main issues that ive read on the truck, do yall have any ideas?

Im not sure if this should be in the drivetrain section or here in the 97-03
So I apologize if thats the case. And thanks for the help in advance.

Bad water pump, your not getting coolant flowing through it properly which is why your overheating on the expressway

Update. Replaced water pump last night. It looks in alright shape. Not seized.
When I was draining the rad to change the pump I completely removed the drain bolt and it only trickled fluid for the first 15min. After that it sped up on its own to a slow drizzle. I dont see how it could be a blockage I flushed it 8 days ago.
