Another spark plug blew out my engine last night the same cylinder. Last time it didnt mess up the threads just replaced the spark plug and the boot. But this time it messed up the threads, luckily i used the heli coil and everything is fine now. Is there any ryme or reason or anything i can do to try and prevent another one from blowing out or is it just part of life lol?

If it ever happens again use a timecert not a heli-coil. Heli-coils blow out also. Most of the time spark plugs get launched because the installer didnt use the correct torquing numbers.

 

Also when installing plugs make sure engine is cool, the heads are aluminum and when hot will strip right through with a plug. Same goes for a heli coil

 

i checked into time sert thing when my truck blew its plug, looked through all the info i could find on the internet, i couldnt find a price for it anywhere, i called the company and as told it was cheaper to order through them, but it wasnt cheap enough for me, 329 bucks plus shipping. i went to napa got a heli coil, hasnt blown out yet.
