Default Another one bites the dust

In morning rush hour traffic today. An F series Pickup is towing a utility trailer two cars in front of me, looked like a 2002 or so. Then it happens, white smoke starts pouring from under the hood. The two guys stop the truck, get out, one grabs a fire extinguisher the other opens the hood. The engine is off but it is still smoking like it is on fire what could it be? They have already sprayed the engine with the extinguisher but it is still trying to burn. So I get out of my car (work car not my truck) walk up to the guys, grab the electrical connection to the cruise control sensor, pull it off, the smoke and potential fire stop, and I tell the guys " do the recall next time you get one" . I am losing my patience with that since this is the second time I have had to save someone's truck (not including my own the next day after I bought it because the previous owner had not done the recall and I had not yet had time to check recalls). Then I just started walking back to my car.
The guys thanked me, I waved OK, and everyone was able to start their drive to work. I am in a bad mood today.

Sounds like my morning i blew out my number 1 spark plug this moring and tore my boot and broke the cop. Luckily for me only the top tread is striped, and that can be fixed easily
