i ordered some hid's from ddm a little bit ago and my size are on back order in the 35 watt but they have all sizes in the 55 watt. should i get the 55 watt or will that be too much strain on the stock wires?

 

No thats fine it will be able to handle it but honestly if you dont have projectors dont get 55 w for the other drivers sake. the difference between projectors and regular headlights is that projectors focus the light, regular lights has no organization and shoots the light beams every where there fore blinding the other drivers
