Default Another AC help thread

2001 F-150
When I first start my truck up and turn on the AC it blows cold as it should, but then it gets hot like the heat is on, and then it immediately gets cold again. It will do this sometimes my entire 30 minute drive home. Other times it will get hot and stay hot until I shut it down and let it sit for a while.

I changed out the blend switch (potentiometer) to no avail, it still does the same thing. I am thinking that it is the blend door motor, but I have researched it and it doesn't look all that fun to change out or check. So I wanted to get some opinions or affirmations that it is indeed most likely the motor or worse yet the blend door itself.

Thanks in advance,
Andrew

I had a truck onetime that would do that and it was determned the system was freezing up. Have you checked the Freeon levels to see if they are were they are supose to be. Cause if not could cause it to freeze up. Just a suggestion.
