is it a click or more of a clunk.

A starter usually will make more of a clunk if the bendix is being engaged but not spinning

It was not a clunk, it was a click, but I will have to listen more closely tonight when I get home from work if it repeats.

sounds like a parasitic drain to me. Have you recently installed any new electronic upgrades? Radio, lights, etc?

if not I agree with the poster who recommended checking the positive and ground connections.

Starter solenoid or the key switch are the only other 2 I can think of.

I have started and driven the truck a number of times and 1 complete tank. It has started each and every time. Maybe it was operator error on the the previous time I went to start and just got a click. I don't know.
I will keep jumper cables in the truck, and jump starter kit that I am giving myself for Christmas. I will continue to monitor.
Thanks everyone for your help.
Merry Christmas
