not to hijack the thread but i just got spacers and do you know if i should torque the lugs to 100lbs?

I'm glad to hear that it worked out OK. I wish the lash adjusters were not such a pain......dare I say it...the rockers arms can flip off if not fully pumped up.

lash adjusters are ALOT worse when they have oil on them.. I fully scrubbed them down with gasoline, assembled them easily, then pumped em with oil.. I think the one that was tapping was one that i accidentally dropped in the clean oil before assembling, it was a PITA to get assembled not to mention the pumping of it.. But if you clean them first they will assemble easily.. assemble then drop in a small tub of oil, compress and hold down the lifter and watch the air bubbles come up.. when they stop, pump it a couple of times and hold down again till the air bubbles stop again.

I ended up making quite a mess when the pencil broke that i was using (pushing down with the eraser end on the lifter).. Fresh oil definately lubricates and sticks to things better than used oil.
