Airbag code 27
This article details how to replace it with picture, so it made it super simple to fix in about an hour of fussing around. http://www.bohack.com/2012/01/how-to...n-a-ford-truck Although the article is for an F-250 and mine is an F-150 it was the same exact module, with a soldering iron and the right part it was fixed! I can't believe the dealer wanted $80+ dollars for a bulb that cost me $3!!! The dealers really **** me off! It's fixed now and I'm hoping this forum has other ideas that'll save me money.
Thanks Grizzley for the post.
Did just as you stated and it took care of my flash 2 / flash 7 airbag light issue. I did one thing different.... when I went to RS to get the replacement bulb....they were out of the 272-1154 so I got a 272-1141 bulb that was 12V - 25ma. It did have hookup leads. But I just took some side cutters and cut the original bulb wires as close to the bulb as I could. ( Instead of un-soldiering them from the board.) Then I removed the hookup leads from the new bulb which left the solid wires from the new bulb sticking out. Then all I had to do was soldier them to the existing wires off the board. And the little yellow rubber plastic cover that was on the original bulb.... I just rolled it off and rolled it back onto the new bulb which is an exact fit in size.
Thanks again for your post
