ok, I had an Air Raid system on my 98 5.4 a couple yrs ago. It keep throwing codes and ended up needing a MAF s. The conclusion was it begain after I reoiled the K&N so I went back to stock after a $500 fix.

I keep the system, for some reason and now Im thinking about trying it again. I got it down and cleaned it and reoiled it but, it still setting on the shelf because I dont know what to do.

Im thinking, did I oil it to much,did I oil it anough,should I trash it. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO

 

Did you disconnect the battery after the install to let the computer reset itself? Did you clean your MAF with electronic cleaner? Spray a light coat of oil on the outside.

 

Like i said when it happened I just went back to stock. Im sure I over oiled it. Im just not sure wether to give it another try.

i cant remember seeing any BIG increase in power

 

Resell it then. You're not gonna feel any difference with just a CAI anyway.
