Air Bag Question?????
Hi. I have a 2001 F-150. Somebody threw a large rock at my back window smashing through and breaking the cover of the air bag on the passenger side. I need to remove it so that I can install a new one. Being that I don't want it to explode by me taking it out, is there a way to disarm it?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Not a good idea unless you really know what you are doing. Most airbags have there own power supply as well. They dont just rely on the battery to go off. Might look into turning it into insurance.

pulling the battery and waiting for the tempory pack to die out works very well. I have pulled the bag on my car a few times. Usually 5 minutes will do it, after that, unbolt, remove, and disconnect the harnesses, and set the bag down, think of it like a claymore
remember though, the bags activation is from the sensors in the bumper, not the horn pad/bag itself.
