Accumulator Piston replacement - damage done?
My trucks in the shop under warranty.
The Transmission guys say an accumulator piston has gone bad, I looked up the part price, cheap, like $12, but the labor must not be easy getting to it, and who wants to drop the pan anyway?
My question is, if this piston has gone bad, (there wasn't a noticeable problem when I bought it 2 weeks ago, just started shifting hard, and missing shifts 2-3) I took the truck in two days later.
What damage could have been done to other internal parts? Should I be asking if more needed to be replaced?
Should the filter be replaced in this type of repair as well?
Was it overall worth a $50 copay on the warranty?
Thanks for opinions and experience!
