Do you have the A/C on Max and high speed fan? Do you hear the compressor kick on at all? Do you have the valve on the can open (not raeally a dumb question)? It needs to be fully open. If yes to all- yiou have a major ***** leak! My wife's 03 Explorer had a major A/C leak. The system held the refrigerant for about a minute-discoverd cracks on both sides of condenser. Try putting a leak detector in. Harbor Freight tools also carries a refrigerant gas detector for about $69 bucks or so which works well. I have one and that is how I located my wifes leaks- actually her truck's leaks. In any case you should hear the compressor turning on at least briefly.
