Default ABS light is on but not error codes

I have 2000 F-150 and last week ABS light came on. I got code reader, but it shows no errors (code reader does show engine stats).

Does anyone know why would ABS light be on if there are no error codes reported?

Thanks,

Vadim

Does the code reader you picked up read abs codes as well? They are two seperate systems, so a basic engine code reader will not be able to read abs codes as well.

check your brake fluid... also, as slowwhite said, check your speed sensors. I know the work trucks at my old job had a nasty habit of the speed sensors MELTING! HAHA! Crazy... Of course, they were Chevys... go figure

Ye, It took me a while to figure it out, but you are correct.
