was about to be towed!!!
When I was down the shore once, I parked in a no parking zone next to the curb. Walked away and then 15 minutes heard a big diesel. Looked out the window and it was a tow truck in front of mine. I ran so fast out there and said the truck is was mine. The truck still on the ground just with the cables hooked up. Tow guy said $80 to release the vehicle to me. Also a $55 fine. Gotta love NJ.
Heres my question, the tow truck was a flat bed tilted at I assume at a 30 degree angle with the cables hooked up to the FRONT of my truck. If he had started to pull my truck up the flat bed. What would of happened to my tranny?Would the parking gear be gone or would the tires have scraped the ground? Its 2wd so the front dosent have a issue.

Seriously, you complain about New Jersey, but knowingly parked in a no parking zone and walked away?
He would have just dragged your truck on the the flatbed with the back tires skidding. Probably no issues.
If you are worried about damage to your truck, I would suggest parking in legal spots.
