99 Expy, 4lo works, 4hi works, but wont come out of 4x4. I have driven in flood waters pulling people out and never had issues, but after driving the truck out in Cali I noticed while in the AWD setting it was binding while trying to park. I pulled the front shaft out until I could work with it. well its snow time, truck rarely gets used, but I need to get the front shaft back in and have it for a winter rig for the wife as I work out of state. What should I check first and how to check if the hubs are locked up? Thanks in advance.

 

have you checked for vacuum leaks to the 4x4 actuator? ( guessing it has a shift fork like the trucks.. )
