Default 99 to 97 Engine Swap

Hi I have a good 99 4.6L F-150 engine I'm trying to put into my 97 F-150 and was wondering what all I need to take to swap them over?
Do I need the computers out of the 99 to make this work or can I just use the 97's that are all ready in there? And is there more than one computer?
What about the fuse box?
Please if you have done this or know what to do, give me a list if there is one.

Thanks

If they are both f150 4.6s then it should be a direct bolt in you may have to change a sensor or two but it should all run fine off your computer

In 99 4.6s were still NPI so it's the exact same motor. The only thing that could possible be different is the flexplate and that's either 6 bolt or 8 bolt so just use the one from the 99 and it'll be fine.

It should bolt right in. If it runs funny just have someplace flash the 99 tuning into your current 97 ECU, but that shouldn't be needed if it runs fine.
