Hey everybody my F150 has a bad knock sensor on it. The problem is I can't find the right tool to remove it!

I have a deep well 1 1/8" socket that fits over it, but I can't get a 1/2" ratchet on it because of the frame being in the way. I also cannot fit a 1 1/8 wrench anywhere because their just isn't enough room. If I could get a 1 1/8" socket with a 3/8 drive it would fit perfect. When you add a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter it is too long and hits the frame again.

Anybody ever removed one of these? WHat is the secret? Thanks in Advance!

 

Just to be clear this is a 4.2l, the knock sensor is by the motor mount on the lower passenger side of the engine, thanks!
