98 rearglass swap (sliding to solid)
Does anyone know if a sliding rearglass can be replaced with a solid rearglass on a 1998 F150 Supercab? Will I experience any problems (mounting, size, thickness)?
Its easy. unbolt the old. peel off the sealant, put new sealant on you new window and put it in. bolt it up. ive replaced all my windows in my truck. it was the XL with solid windows in the back. i put the pop out windows and a sliding window in.
Thanks texastruckguy, the napa is currently out here where I am from, so I have to order it. Do you think 3/16 inches thick at 3/4 inches wide and 20 feet long is a proper size of butyl tape?
I believe that is that same as I used and I ha a bit left over. I found receipt and mine cost tax and all 20.02 at napa. To bad ya not near me I'd trade ya and redo back window lol I've been wanton a slider since I got my trick in 08 lol.

I would worry about spending 300.00 too since you can get a window at a place like pull-a-part for $30.00.
