98 CD player
Hey,
Looking at improving the speakers in my f150. I already did the doors with some Pioneer 3-way 6x8's I had laying around. Much needed upgrade. Still gotta do the rear speakers and I was wondering what the power output on the factory Cd player is? I have the cassette player with 6 disc Cd changer but no factory amp, near as I can tell. Was thinking about changing it out to an aftermarket unit but I like the changer and dont wanna lose it. Plus the stealth factory look is nice. I don't know if there is a big difference in sound between factory and aftermarket. I am impressed so far with the factory unit. I have never had a factory Cd player before and I still think its pretty good.

Thanks guys. it's gotta be closer to 15W cuz the Pioneers I have in the doors pound pretty hard. Enough bass to make the door panels buzz, especially when there is a lot of double bass and bass period. I listen to metal. I know an aftermarket unit would yield better sound quality and everything but i like the CD changer and the "stealth" look of the factory stuff. Don't want any ********s breaking into my truck just to steal a Cd player.
