98 4.6 Scab lean problems
Ok so I took my truck to Autozone and got the check engine light checked and when she told me what was wrong it was the EGR valve.
But i knew that part the part I am trying to figure out is the bank 2 lean code (thats all she told me).
Now I had a friend check it for me about a month ago and he told me I had 2 lean codes and pointed at the thing that I am going to post pics of.
I cleaned it out and the core (red part) of the hose broke up and was clogging it so I cleaned it out.

my CEL was on to , and my truck runs real rich....took it to AZ and they checked it and said that part you posted a pic of was bad. so i bought it and replaced it and CEL came back on a few days later...... so thats not your problem..... when you find out what the problem is , let me know lol
I had the same code come up on mine last year saying bank 2 lean, never figured it out, about a week later, the truck shut off on me in town. turned out to be a vaccum leak of all things
Most of the time a vacuum leak will cause the lean code or any intake leak after the MAF... other times it can be a lack of fuel causing a lean condition... ie clogged fuel filter, clogged injector(s), slow or failing fuel pump... start by putting some fuel injector cleaner in following the instructions, it's cheap and good for it anyway... then you should be listening for a vacuum leak... visually check the PCV hose front to back paying attention to the back elbow (common)... then check for collapsed hoses goin to the EGR many times these hoses collapse/breakdown and clog... then grab a giant can of carb cleaner and start sprayin around the intake manifold slowly and listen for changes in idle... fuel filter's cheap and easy to replace anyway...
Have you done the gotts mod or have a cold air intake?? your truck will be running a little closer to the outside of it's lean parameters so the littlest thing will set it off
If all else fails start targeting a clogged or faulty O2 sensor not throwing out the right readings but before replacing them... first pull thier harness's sometimes the O2 sensor harness's get water in them and corrode the connections and get bad or slow response reading thus throwing a lean code...
also sometimes you can have a PCV that is bad but still shakes... I had one before that made a crazy vibrating sound while running... but still passed the shake test, obviously wasn't closing up
Good luck on the hunt

^^That's throwin a light?... I know people with no cats and no light... I ran no cats in my 04 F150 with no problems (different animal)... But bummer man... did you tap your rear O2's back into the pipe?
